Description: Along the Riviera Euganea, in the heart of Battaglia Terme, there is a museum recalling the history and tradition of inland navigation in Veneto and northern Italy, thanks to a rich iconographic collection, a large selection of original tools and scale models of vessels and hydraulic artefacts. The tour ends outside, thanks to a virtual tour along the ancient navigable canals in the centre of Battaglia Terme.

Description: My drawing reflects water and life. In it, I have embodied my thinking and purpose to reflect upon what we can provoke, and therefore leave a landmark of willingness to change. As we know, the water is and will be the essential element that we cannot replace. When human beings first found water, they worshiped it and longed for it. But we always want more; every time there is something new, and this leads to the consumption of new products, producing garbage and provoking global warming, and droughts, leaving the surroundings in water need. These effects will not end until the human being realizes the mistake we have made, but there will be no remedy to it, being too late. We are the ones that could have found a treasure, but also the ones who can make it gone.

Description: The planet’s life-cycle and the water-cycle are interconnected. My drawing illustrates that since thebeginning, time and water have flowed simultaneously. Hands represent mother nature spilling the water thatis necessary for Earth’s story to begin. The story is the never-ending tale of the relationship between waterand all living things. Mother nature provides the planet with plentiful supply of freshwater through rivers,lakes, streams, and ponds. We are given what we need and it’s our responsibility to respect and look after itso there is enough water for everyone, including future generations. The next stage, industrial development,is depicted by the waterwheel - perhaps the earliest source of mechanical energy. Its invention was life-changing. In an age of trying to discover zero-emission technology that provides renewable energy, the eco-friendly waterwheel has even greater significance where fish can pass through unharmed. Sustainabilitymust be our water legacy. The final section is today’s story. Water is spilling onto Earth for us to use butdrought is also represented by the dry, cracked ground. The little sapling which grows from the stray splashof water denotes hope, that if we reverse effects of climate change, Earth’s diverse biomes can survive and flourish.

Description: The indigenous peoples of the plains believe that everything that exists in nature has life. In the case of water, the one who governs the water and every living thing that exists in its ecosystem is the o'e, or rainbow. In turn, the rainbow is responsible for the jichi who are the guardians of certain sources water sources and take care of the life that lives there. There is a jichi for each lagoon, for example, and can take different forms, it could be a viper, a mermaid, a crocodile, a stingray or something else. These jichi could be on land, underwater and flying in the skies.
In the illustration you can see a jichi in the shape of a crocodile. When he wanted, he could turn into a person, or take people to live under the lagoon, and then form a family and live both outside and inside the water.
When they do not treat the jichi well, or kill it in the lagoon or in the water source, the place remains without water. Similarly, when the local people did not take care of the water, it caused the anger of the jichi.

Description: The Casalecchio Dam is a barrier built along the course of the Reno River which allows part of its flow to be diverted into an artificial waterway: the Reno Canal. This canal from Casalecchio reaches Bologna, bringing water into the heart of a city that otherwise, being without a large river crossing it, would not have had a sufficient supply of water for its development. The Casalecchio Dam located on west Bologna is not the only one in Bologna’s territory: on east Bologna, in San Ruffillo, another artificial barrier was built on the Savena Stream from which the canal of the same name is derived. The network of canals that crosses Bologna is therefore made up of these two main waterways: the Reno and the Savena Canals which have a series of secondary branches. This network derived from the two dams is managed by Canali di Bologna.

It is decorated with the characteristic green and white glazes on the lid, the mouth as well on the side. It bears a lid. Ιt was used as a container for small quantities of mastic (mastic jar), the famous product of the island of Chios.
