Resource by MIO-ECSDE/HYDRIA, Greece
This is an interactive and inclusive water education platform for learners aged 10–13, designed to enhance knowledge about sustainable water use/management and foster the behaviours, attitudes and values of responsible water users.
It combines hands-on and outdoor activities, together with online surveys, quizzes, games, video and readings on water cycle, climate change and water, non-conventional water resources (NCWRs), responsible water behaviour and water culture. It is accessible on PCs, tablets, and smartphones, does not require subscription and does not retain personal data.
Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is essential for achieving SDG 4 and enabling all other SDGs. However, resources to integrate ESD into curricula remain fragmented. This platform bridges the gap by combining the “Water in the Mediterranean” and “ALTER AQUA” materials, which have been accredited by the Greek Ministry of Education.
