The Global Network of Water Museums and Let’s Talk About Water are pleased to announce a new Water Film Prize Competition. Let's Talk About Water is a unique programme combining the power of film and the science of water to inform and engage students, policy-makers, and the general public in active discussions about water issues and solutions.
This competition invites participants to create short films exploring how lessons from the past can guide us toward a sustainable future. This new partnership underscores WAMU-NET's dedication to raising awareness of dedication to raising awareness of ancestral hydro-technologies. Developed by communities over millennia, these ancient water management techniques continue to offer valuable strategies for managing freshwater resources, fostering social cohesion, and preserving biodiversity, all while supporting sustainable livelihoods—particularly in arid regions.
The competition will be officially launched on March 22nd, 2025, World Water Day on the occasion of the opening of WAMU-NET's new headquarters in Trento, Italy.
