UNIUD is also constantly involved in dissemination and public engagement activities to boost the knowledge and awareness in citizens and economic operators, and steadily promotes technology transfer to the territory. Indeed, since its first Statute the University wants to contribute to the civil, social progress and economic rebirth of Friuli, and to become an organic instrument of development of culture, language, traditions and history of Friuli. For this reason, the link with the territory is particularly rooted, based on close collaboration.
More recently, the University has developed initiatives and projects that act as growth factors for the whole region and as a meeting point with the entire productive and social community. Cantiere Friuli represents an original model of transfer knowledge, skills and ideas for development and innovation paths thanks to several local actors.
Whilst the development of scientific knowledge and higher education remains its fundamental mission, the University lays particular emphasis on the exploitation of research results and the transfer of innovation to the production system.
